How to Make the Internal Shifts Necessary to Achieve Your Vision

In our last two blog posts, you discovered our tips for How to Get Clear on Your Vision for Income and Impact and How to Get Clear on the Vehicle You’ll Use to Achieve Your Vision.

featured-post-dec18Once you get clear on the vehicle you’re going to use to achieve your vision, it’s not uncommon for fear and doubt to creep in. This is why it’s important to avoid taking blind action when you feel fear or doubt.  Instead, we recommend you check your mindset and set yourself up to be emotionally, mentally and spiritually positioned to achieve your vision.

These four steps will help you make the internal shifts necessary to achieve your vision.

Step 1: Celebrate!!!  

Make a list of your Top 10 Victories of the year (no matter how big or small). 

Then celebrate your victories in style with high 5's, hugs, a celebration dinner, a sweet kiss with someone special, a hot tub or a massage.  

Celebration attunes your Spirit to success... so that instead of “turning around failure” you’re building on success. 

Step 2: Set Both Happy and Ecstatic Goals.  

Fill in the blanks:

1. I'd be happy if I worked with ____ (# of clients) each month by the end of 2015.  

2. I'd be ECSTATIC if I worked with ____ (# of clients) each month by the end of 2015.  

3. I'd be happy if I was making $________ each month by the end of 2015. 

4. I'd be ECSTATIC if I was making $________ each month by the end of 2015.  

If you have more goals in addition to clients and money, you can write these out, too.  

The key is to keep your goals simple enough that you’ll remember them in three months. 

Step 3: Imagine you achieved your ECSTATIC goals. 

Journal about WHY this would be so awesome!  What would the increase in clients and money make possible for you?  How would this benefit your whole life?

If you feel ecstatic about your bright future, you can stop here. You don’t have internal shifts to make around your vision.  Just keep breathing in to your excitement, as if you were fanning a flame to make your excitement bigger.

If you feel excited, but also discouraged about the gap between where you are and where you want to be, then move on to Step 4... It’s time to make some internal shifts.    

Step 4: Transform yourself.

If you are feeling discouraged, your goal might be so BIG that you have no idea how to get there.  If this is the case, then you may want to shrink your vision until you feel more comfortable.

If you are getting  a “HELL NO,” to this suggestion, that’s great!  Keep your big vision and work on both your inner game and your outer game.  The rest of this article will help you with your inner game.   As for shifting your outer game, we suggest finding a mentor who has achieved a vision as big as yours... and then follow their system.

How to make inner game shifts:

If you can’t see yourself achieving your vision, it’s probably because you are empowering past failures.  

The most successful people in the world have failed MANY times.  They understand it’s just part of the game. What makes them successful is how they relate to their failures.  

Here is a VERY powerful process to turn your relationship with failure from terrible to amazing. 

Take out a fresh sheet of paper and draw a table with three columns and five rows, that looks like this:

In the first column, write down your 5 biggest failures.
In the second column, write down the insight or lesson from each failure that still benefits you today.
In the third column, write down the gift(s) you got from each experience.

Here’s an example from my own life:

Now make another table, but this one will be for your successes.

In the first column, write down your 5 biggest successes.
In the second column, write down the biggest insight or lesson you received from each success that still benefits you today.
In the third column, write down the gift(s) you received from this success.

When you do this simple, but powerful exercise, you will transform your relationship to failure and increase your ability to attract a lot more success to you.

How to Create Your Crystal Clear Vision

featured-post-Nov0614Do you ever feel bored with your business or you find yourself struggling to make ends meet? If your answer is Yes, then it’s likely you’re missing one of the most essential keys to attract clients without struggle. Today’s article will help you understand why you’re stuck and how to change it.

Now, if you are like us, you’ve had people laugh at your dreams and say things like: Get your head out of the clouds. Be realistic. Stop dreaming.

When I (Jesse) was around 9 years old, I was one of the best soccer players in my town, and I had a dream of playing professional soccer on the Chicago Sting. When I wasn’t playing soccer, I was daydreaming about it and even went to sleep at night holding a soccer ball.

One day, a boy who lived in my apartment complex said, “Did you know that there are millions of other boys who also want to be on the Chicago Sting? What makes you think you’re better than millions of other boys? You’ll never make the team.”

Then he punched me in the stomach...
The physical punch hurt for a minute.
The punch of his words stung for years.

I believe we all had a dream to become great...
and we all get the wind knocked out of us at some point...

Many Coaches and Holistic Practitioners have given up on their dreams so many times that they no longer have dreams. Some have vague dreams that they are slowly moving towards, but the dream still feels totally out of reach.

Only the most successful people hold on to their dreams, keep them close, vibrant, full color... so that when they think about their dreams, their heart starts pounding harder and they feel their body quiver with excitement.

Until you have a crystal clear vision for your business, you might wake up feeling a little groggy and aimless and spend the day doing a lot of busywork that gets you nowhere...

Until you discover that your money situation has hit rock bottom. And then suddenly you feel a rush of motivation to get clients. When this happens, your motivation is rooted in fear, which is okay because it gives you the firepower you have been missing. Unfortunately, your motivation disappears the moment your fear disappears... So, as soon as you get financially comfortable, you lose your juice.

This, in a nutshell, is the entrepreneur’s yo-yo life when they have no vision calling them forth.

One of our mentors, Rev. Michael Beckwith, says, “Pain pushes. Pause. Until Vision pulls.”

So, how do you create a crystal clear vision that pulls you out of bed? That is so compelling and exciting that it inspires you to take actions every day that turns your vision into your reality.

The first step is to imagine yourself at the peak of your success... what have you accomplished?

How many lives have you positively impacted through your work?

And did you touch these people through your private work with clients, or through a book or home study course, through a high end group program, or was it through workshops or speaking engagements?

How does your success enhance the rest of your life?

And don't forget this important part of your Vision: How much money are you making (many coaches and holistic practitioners leave this important part out)?

Would fulfilling this vision be worth the time , money, energy, and personal transformation you'll need to get there?

Here’s an example from our life:

About 10 years ago, we dared to imagine ourselves touching the lives of over 25,000 people and making millions in the process. We imagined ourselves having a few select, VIP clients, but impacting people mostly through our speaking engagements, live events, teleseminars and high end group programs. We imagined ourselves having a private chef and having a personal team of assistants who were dedicated to making our lives as easy as possible, as we lived this big dream.

This vision pulled us to take risks most people don’t take, to be steadfast in our quest for the best business strategies, and the most powerful personal transformation. This inspired us to invest deeply in ourselves and invest over $250,000 in our business education, and to stay “on the train” when most people would have given up.

Was it easy?
Not always.

Was it worth it?
Yes.

Our vision we dreamed up 10 years ago is NOW our “Pinch me, I’m living my dream life,” reality right now.

Of course, our life is not perfect, we still get bumps and bruises, but we feel so blessed to live the very exquisite life we dreamed up 10 years ago.

That’s why we’ve dedicated our lives to helping you fulfill on your deepest desires for your life, whatever that looks like for you. Because we feel that you should be well compensated while you’re changing the world.

But this isn't what you think (unless you've been to the Client Attraction Summit, then you know exactly what we're talking about)...

It sounds like a really controversial video.

But this isn't about hitting on your clients and it isn't about setting yourself up so clients ask you out on dates. Instead, you're going to learn how to be magnetic to new clients in the quickest way possible.

It's easier said than done. But when you see what "being sexy" means to us and how to be sexy so you can attract more clients, you may not be so surprised.

How to Create a Community of Leaders-Part I

In July, we flew to Sedona for Eben Pagan’s invitation-only event called MetaMind, with some of the biggest leaders in the fields of coaching, technology, and art. 

When Eben personally asked me (Jesse) to speak to this group of leaders about leadership, I was incredibly honored… and a bit nervous.

Within an hour of arriving, I was blown away by the caliber of the attendees.  One man had written a #1 NY Times Best Seller that had changed my life. Another had built and sold over 20 companies.  Another was one of the most well-known speakers in the UK.  And even the founder of CouchSurfing.com was there.

As I prepared to speak, I couldn’t sit still.  I was sweating profusely.  
Okay... I was terrified. 

“What do I have to teach these people about leadership?” I thought to myself.  

But then it hit me... I wasn’t actually teaching leadership.  
  
Eben had asked me to teach a very specialized skill called “how to create a community of leaders.”  

While everyone in this group was a leader, very few of them had created a community of leaders. 

And this is something we have become known for...the Thrive Community IS a community of leaders.  

Many leaders in the coaching industry today (including many people who were invited to MetaMind) had their first 6-figure year after attending our Client Attraction Summit and joining the Thrive Community. 

Suddenly I realized, “I DO have something important to say!” 

Hot Tip: If you ever don’t think what you have to say is valuable, ask yourself: “What specialized skills do I have, that I have discovered from my hard-won experience?”

At the end of my talk, I was greeted with rousing applause... and over the two days following my talk, dozens of people approached me, sharing how helpful and inspiring my talk was for them.

In my talk, I shared 3 keys to Creating a Community of Leaders.

In today’s blog post, you’ll discover the first key. 

Key #1: Create a Fun Game for Your Clients to Play

There was a study found that 72.3% of the people who bought home study courses (many cost as much as $2,000) DID NOT EVEN OPEN their Home Study Course and begin their program.

We had heard about another study that showed that only 2% of seminar participants actually get results. 

We knew we couldn’t live with ourselves if we were teaching our best stuff, but our clients weren’t getting results.  

We imagine you feel the same way about wanting your clients to get great results.

But you can’t create a community of leaders if hardly anyone in the community is getting results.

So what is the best way to help your clients create results?
Create a Fun Game for Your Clients to Play

A game?  I thought getting clients was supposed to be serious!!!  
Yes, a game! 
☺ You may want to consider creating a fun game for your clients to get results. 

Here’s an example of how our game works:

Our programs include two live events (3 days each) that are 1 month apart.  

For example, in our last Client Attraction Mastery program, we had a 3-day live event at the end of July and another 3-day live event at the end of August.

At the Launch Event in July, we shared some incredibly powerful Client Attraction secrets and strategies.

Then we invited them into a friendly game over the next month where they got points for all of the actions they took to attract clients.

One month later, at the 2nd 3-day Event, they added up all the points they got.  
The Top 10 Winners were recognized for their achievement.    

What was most inspiring was that nearly everyone in the group played the game (even the people who hated games and even the ones who were terrified of having Heartselling™ Conversations).

Over the month, we had front row seats to the game.  On our members-only Facebook group, people shared victories, asked for encouragement, requested feedback, and received a ton of support.  

Even though there was some “competition” to be in the top 10, our group of coaches and holistic practitioners championed each other to the very end. 

 

Here are the results:


The group of 56 people brought in $387,816 in new business in the month between the first and second event.

The average person brought in $6,925, which is more than the investment in the year-long 
Client Attraction Mastery Program.  

The average person had 12 Heartselling™ Conversations (less than 3 per week).

The average Heartselling Conversation brought in $564.51 in sales.

20% of the group made $10,000 or more.

34% of the group made $5,000 or more.

54% of the group made $2,000 or more.

84% of the group made at least some money.

Hopefully, this inspires you to create your own games for your clients, so that your clients step into the leaders they were meant to become.
